I found this Dragon's
egg early in 2001, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in an old disused
factory, dating from 1850. It was shutdown permanently in 1911.
This egg probably belongs to a little Dutch Dunedragon, of which very
few were still reported to be seen during that time.
In those times the natural habitat of this animal was getting smaller
and smaller. The dark, hot and steaming factories like they were build
during the 1800's probably offered a welcome refuge to them.
When I found this egg, is was very dehydrated. With the help of an
incubationmachine I try to revive it, hoping it will hatch one day.Since
the incubation started, its diameter has trippled, from aroud 33 cm
to a little over 1 meter.
